Below are ways to immediately assist our neighbors!

All funds received will go directly to help those impacted by the Central Texas Floods all along the Llano, Pedernales and Colorado rivers.

We are looking for volunteers and you don't have to be ERT certified to help! As long as you have a team leader, everyone can help.

The bulk of the work right now is physical in nature, cleaning out houses!!

For those of you who may not have the ability to assist in the labor and clean up efforts but would like to volunteer you can volunteer to serve on the Kindness Team. This team will spend time visiting with the victims, listening to their stories, helping them with phone calls, offering them prayers and support during this time of crisis.

Bee Creek UMC's ERT TEAM LEADER will be going tomorrow, October 31st to a residence right down the street from the church, here in Spicewood to do an assessment.

According to the home owner, the water was over the roof for over a week. Finally, the water has receded. The sooner we get a team in to clear this home out the better.

We would like to work at this residence on Thursday, Nov 1 and Friday, Nov 2. We can meet in Bee Creek UMC parking lot at 9:00am and go to the residence from there ( 2 minutes away). From my understanding, we will be gutting and mucking out the entire house plus the ceiling. Walls are made of wood planking not sheet rock. The home owner told me that all of the wood walls have buckled so they need to be removed. Also, bathroom, kitchen and all appliances need to be removed.

Some tools that would be beneficial for this job include: dolly, wheelbarrow, shovels, broom, dust pans, sledge hammer, hammer, crow bar, screwdriver, heavy duty work gloves.

The home is a smaller home, 1100 square feet. If we have a large enough turnout of volunteers, this home could be cleaned out very quickly.

Pease let me know if you can come out and be the hands and feet of Christ. Sue Bienkowski

Even if you can give only a few hours that would be fantastic.

"The measure of a man's greatness, is not the number of servants he has, but the number of people he serves"
Thank you,

Here is the information FUMC Marble Falls has asked us to share: All donations can be dropped off at First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls.

Brooms, buckets, mops, laundry soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, Gatorade more than water, and Lowes or Home Depot gift cards.

PLEASE hold off on donations of clothing, furniture etc. It’s too early for that, this is just the clean out/up phase.

The update on the flooding in the Hill Country is that there is over 400 homes that have been severely damaged. We are still in the "clean out phase" meaning that homes still need to be cleared out of all personal belongings, sheet rock needs to be removed, floors removed, bathrooms removed, kitchens removed.

Once this is all done, we enter the "mold remediation phase"/ the homes need to be power washed or completely cleaned. Then, the homes need to dry and be sprayed for mold. The sooner these homes are cleared out and treated, the sooner the home owner can start "the rebuild phase".

We are Real People

Our vision is to be a community where imperfect people are transformed by the perfect love of God and change the world together.

Jesus said we would be known by love: our love of God and our love for others. We strive to be a community marked by love. That's why we gather together, pray, and serve. That's how we express our love for God and one another.

Bee Creek UMC began in 2002 as a "mobile church." We met in community centers where we sometimes had to clean up from parties the night before or sweep up beer bottles! Regardless of where or how we've met, there has always been one over-riding goal: to open the door for people to experience the transformational power of Jesus Christ.

Come and worship with us. Come serve with us. You are welcome here.

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”

John 13:34-35
