Care & Prayer
WE BELIEVE WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
At times we all need someone to come alongside us when we go through difficult circumstances.
These are just a few of the ways we offer care at Bee Creek UMC. We would love the opportunity to pray for and with you. If you need to talk to Pastor Amy email her to schedule a time to talk.
Prayer Requests
If you are going through a time of difficulty, transition, or change, we want you to know you aren’t alone. We would love to pray for you and walk alongside you.
There are many ways to participate in daily prayer with Bee Creek UMC. We have a prayer team with over 100 members ready to pray for you! Share your prayer with our team.
If you would like to be part of our prayer team and get the consolidated prayer requests email every Sunday please send us an email and we will add you to the team.
GriefShare
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. At this 13-week group, you’ll receive valuable guidance and tips, leading you to relief, comfort, and peace of mind. The 13 sessions are “stand alone” so you can begin anytime.
Postures and Prayers for Grieving
We will use Scripture for meditation and yoga postures to help open us up to the healing work of God in our lives. This class is led by Kathy McKinney and Amy Fritsch.
- Begins September 11, 2024.
- We meet on Wednesdays at 12:00pm in the sanctuary.
- For more information email Pastor Amy.
Stephen Ministry
Are you or someone you know going through a difficult time?
Stephen Ministers are members of Bee Creek UMC who have had over 60 hours of in-class training from the curriculum from Stephen Ministries in St. Louis to provide one-to-one, Christ-centered care. They have a compassionate heart for those who are hurting, and they’re equipped with caring ministry skills by our Stephen Leaders.
Stephen Ministers provide care to individuals facing difficult times in life — grief, cancer, divorce, financial difficulties, hospitalization, chronic illness, job loss, disability, a spiritual crisis, or other life struggles.
To request care for yourself or someone else, or to request more information about this program, including becoming a Stephen Minister, please send us a confidential email. Please include your name and telephone number in your email. All of the information you share will be kept confidential.
Every person requesting care is evaluated to ensure that the best possible care is made available to them. If the care required exceeds the qualifications of Stephen Ministry caregivers, we will assist you in finding other care options.
Meal Train
Occasionally, we all need the care and comfort of a meal delivered. If you’ve had surgery, are facing an illness or loss, and need meals to get back on track, we want to help.
Contact Angela Huddy to receive meals or add your name to the list of those who will prepare meals for others.
Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.
